The Energy of 2025: How to Stay Grounded in a Year Moving Too Fast

Over the long weekend Angelign hosted our first event: a restorative sound bath experience held in Tyabb at the beautiful Tribe Six.

Such an incredible and rewarding journey, it was amazing being able to meet so many new faces and seeing such an interest in the pursuit of healing ourselves through holistic modalities. I would like to thank everyone who came and gave us their time (and long weekend!), also for those who reached out and gave their love and support. It means so much to me to experience the joy and healing that this event has brought—not only for those who attended but for myself as well.

At Angelign, we believe that our environments are sacred,

When we intentionally create moments of stillness and connection, we allow our energy to realign in the most profound ways.

In Feng Shui, we understand how deeply our external environment shapes our internal world. During this event, we took a moment to acknowledge the energetic shifts happening at this point in time—offering perspective to help ground and bring greater clarity to our practice.

As part of this, I spoke about the energy of 2025—what changes are on the horizon, how they may influence our well-being, and simple ways to stay aligned in the year ahead.

For those who couldn’t be there in person, I’m so happy to share this video with you. May it bring the same sense of clarity and grounding to your journey.

I’d love to hear your thoughts—how are you preparing for the shifts of 2025? Let’s continue the conversation.

If you couldn’t make it this time, don’t worry—there will be more to come!

Welcome & Intention Setting

Hello everybody, thank you so much for being here with me today. I know how difficult it is to make time in your day to come down, especially on the weekend, so I’m truly grateful that you all made the effort to join me for this sound bath.

Before we begin, I’d like to take a moment to set an intention for the night. As some of you may know, I am a Feng Shui consultant outside of this practice, and in my discipline, our work is centered on understanding the energetics of the universe around us. We harmonize with our environments, as well as with the human form. I feel that experiences like this—where we shift the external environment through sound—offer us a beautiful opportunity to recognize and align with the universal energies at play. This awareness helps us navigate life with greater ease, balance, and intentionality.

The Middle Way & Finding Balance

From an ancient Chinese perspective, one of the core philosophies we follow is the idea of living the middle way. A balanced life is considered the key to good health. This principle extends across Feng Shui, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi, and other long-standing Eastern traditions that focus on nurturing the body and spirit.

The Age of Fire & Its Influence

Right now, we are in what we call an Age of Fire. This year marks the beginning of a 20-year fire season in Chinese philosophy. Fire, by its nature, moves quickly—it is vibrant, it rises, and it is the only element that is ephemeral. We cannot hold it, but we can see it. It is bright and beautiful in its intensity.

This period of time is all about action. Some of you may have already noticed how quickly this year is moving—it feels as if you blink, and it’s gone. Depending on your personal astrological chart, some of you might be more sensitive to this shift. In fact, we recognize that the fire season was conceived in November last year, and its birth took place in early February. Since then, the pace of life has accelerated, and if we’re not careful, we may forget to ground ourselves in the present moment.

The Energy of Fire & The Need for Grounding

Fire represents many wonderful things. It embodies the impulse for life, creativity, and our connection to the Divine. This spiritual connection manifests through vibrational healing, like what we will experience tonight. In the years ahead, this period will emphasize heart-centered community, which is why I’m so happy that we are all here together. This gathering, in itself, is a reflection of that intention.

However, just as fire appears suddenly, it can also disappear just as quickly. For fire to burn well, it must be grounded. It needs fuel, and it must be stabilized by the earth. Without that balance, fire can become destructive. That is why, for tonight’s session, I’d like us to focus on the opposite of fire—the element of water.

The Steps We Take to Live Well in This Season

In Chinese philosophy, we often refer to this in terms of Yin and Yang. Yang is active, dynamic, and full of movement, while Yin is its counterbalance—it is stillness, calm, and presence in the moment. It is the deep serenity we sometimes experience when we allow ourselves to fully rest.

Healing, in any form, needs to be channeled through the body. This is an important reminder as we continue moving forward, growing, and bettering ourselves. It is always essential to reconnect with the physical, tangible world. One of the ways we can do this is through diet. In the year ahead, it will be particularly beneficial to nourish the body with Yin-supporting foods. These include black foods such as sesame seeds and dark beans, as well as soups and stews that have been slowly cooked over time. If you eat meat, incorporating slow-cooked meats can also help strengthen Yin energy in the body. These are all small things to be mindful of as you return to your daily life and reflect on what may benefit you.

Tonight’s Intention: Reconnecting with Stillness

For our intention tonight, I want us to reconnect with stillness—both in our bodies and our spirits. Fire energy is closely linked to the spirit, so bringing a sense of calm to that energy is essential for balance. Let’s use this time to cultivate awareness of the present moment and truly ground ourselves.

During the sound bath, I invite you to focus on how the frequencies of the singing bowls interact with your body. Pay attention to your senses—your sight, smell, sound, and the sensation of physical touch. Simply notice how your body responds.

Additionally, I will be guiding a chakra meditation tonight. Each chakra represents different aspects of our lives, and you are welcome to meditate on these energy centers as I guide you through them. Alternatively, you can simply allow yourself to be present and experience the moment.

Closing Thoughts

My hope for tonight is that we take this time to reconnect with ourselves and bring balance to the strong fire energy of our time. Since we are at the beginning of this fire cycle, its presence is at its most concentrated and intense. The best way to manage this energy is by grounding ourselves—through the earth, through stillness, and through deep rest.

Tonight, we will meditate on the energetics of water, allowing its calming influence to bring us back into balance.
